Kings vs. Canucks Prediction: NHL Betting Odds

The Vancouver Canucks are in the middle of a seven-game homestand when they struggle the flailing L.A. Kings.
Kings vs Canucks Betting Analysis The L.A. Kings have officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Their record this year is one of the league’s worst in 28-40-8, placing them at 30th place at the NHL standings with 64 points. They will continue their tour of Canada tonight when they face the Canucks, whose season record currently stands at 32-35-10.
The Nucks won the last time these two clubs played, on February 14th. The final score was 4-3, and another hotshot newcomer, Elias Pettersson, got a goal and an assist in that game.
Los Angeles Kings
The Kings are coming to this one on a four game losing streak. The Oilers beat them handily in their last game. Dustin Brown, Drew Doughty, Carl Grundstrom and Alex Iafallo each had a goal at the game, but couldn’t keep the puck from their net behind Jonathan Quick, who let in 5 goals in 11 shots before being pulled after one period. Oilers Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins both got hat tricks.
It is a big night for Dustin Brown who will proceed to the franchise record book for his 1,112th career match. He puts him past Dave Taylor, making him the all-time pioneer in regular season games playedwith. Brown was selected at the 13th overall, in the 2003 draft.
Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks are coming from a 5-4 loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Rogers Arena earlier this week, a match in which Ducks rookie Sam Steel had his first career NHL hat trick.
The major story in Vancouver these days is Quinn Hughes, the seventh-overall pick a year who formally signed with the Canucks two weeks ago. He was nursing a foot injury he got through the NCAA playoffs, but is anticipated make his debut this evening.
Vancouver Coach Travis Green has stated he plans to place Hughes about the ice together with Luke Schenn for his very first NHL game. Hughes isn’t planning on making waves tonight, saying”I do not need to do anything particular. I just have to get the puck up to the forwards because they’re so skilled. I am only going to attempt to do my work and keep the puck out of our net.”
